Specialty Requirements

  • Pharmacotherapeutics
    • Total Credits: 5

    • Frequency: Every 2 renewal cycles

    • Conditions:

      • Required of APRNs with prescriptive authority.

  • Controlled Substance Prescribing
    • Total Credits: 2

    • Frequency: One Time

    • Conditions:

      • Required of APRNs authorized to receive information from the PMP.

  • Opiate Prescribing
    • Total Credits: 4

    • Frequency: Every 2 years

    • Conditions:

      • Required of APRNs who have entered into a prescriptive authority agreement authorizing the prescribing of opioids.
