Specialty Requirements

  • Pharmacology
    • Total Credits: 15

    • Frequency: Every 1 renewal cycle

    • Special Note: Non-prescribing nurse practitioners and certified nurse midwives must complete 15 contact hours of continuing education in pharmacology

  • Opioid and Substance Use Disorders
    • Total Credits: 3

    • Frequency: Every 1 renewal cycle

    • Special Note: APRNs with prescriptive authority must complete 3 hours of continuing education on prescribing opioid medication
